Ellen-”Now the night’s started!! Best performance of the night! Best performance you’ve done so far!”
Kara-”It could have been on your record!! It was amazing!!
Simon-”I’ve always believed in you– and now something’s happened and I want you to go back watch the show and understand this is the night you’re life may have changed forever!”

MTV’s take on Lee Dewyze
As lots of America begins to LOVE Lee- it’s nice to see what some of the major music industry thinks of him. As for MTV, they sure seem to be fans!
‘Lee Dewyze is the brooding bad boy of this “Idol” season. Lee’s weathered voice shares traits with rock superstars like Chad Kroeger and Daughtry, which might explain why the judges are especially supportive of Dewyze’s “Idol” journey.’

Lee Dewyze does “The Letter” as a tribute – USA Today
According to USA Today Lee Dewyze not only came out and rocked the billboard hit “The Letter” last night on American idol but he was doing so as a tribute and many children were anxiously awaiting the song!
“Lee DeWyze gets big points this week for choosing the Box Tops’ The Letter — I’m assuming it’s a tribute to Box Tops frontman Alex Chilton, who died last week.”

Lee sang “The Letter” tonight on the top 11 of American Idol. The Judges loved him! Simon did however feel it was a bit corny and not a ‘current hit’ Make sure to vote for Lee– The group that makes it through tonight will be on tour this summer!
